Peace. His Gift. Now. Always.

Richard Benzoni, Huntington Beach, CA

Since a Savior is Born
Since a Saviour is born
It's clear to me
Forgiveness came down
For eternity.
The Prince of Peace
Up to heaven again
Broke Satan's lease
Over earth and all men
Down at the cross
Where His blood still rings
This Satan's loss
to the King of all Kings

Joan Lewandowski, Mt. Iron, MN

So moved by the faces of the children watching "The Grinch," I say this:
May your heart leap up with joy this Holiday Season as you too witness the excitement and love. Keep the feeling of the Season in your heart all year long. It is an extremely valuable gift.

Corinthian Dahlstrand, Minneapolis, MN

When this season of the year arrives
And tinsel and lights take over our lives
Be mindful to sit and rest each day.
Listen to the children and what they say.
Then scramble like last year
but get out of my way.

Elaine Schmidt, Pownal, ME

As the fire on the hearth glows in the night
May the LOVE of Christmas bring you warmth and light.
As chimes in the chapel tower ring
May the JOY of Christmas make you sing.
As snow gently falls to the ground
May the PEACE of Christmas enfold you all around.

Kenneth Pierpont, Fremont, MI

Measure life not by it's length but rather by how many people you love and by how many people love you.

Bryan Lamb, Oak Ridge, TN

Grama waited for gifts to be opened then sneaked where on her coat-piled bed she'd wrap in wrinkled, taped, and prewritten paper. We'd frequently get the wrong present and exchange through laughter. I wish I could receive another of those precious gifts from her. Treasure your memories of loved ones.

Charlene Luoma, Britt, MN

My Wish
My wish is that this year when we take down the decorations, unplug the lights and throw away the torn wrapping paper we carry the joy of the holiday season with us through the year. If we do this we may bring the peace, joy, and wonder of the holiday season to our every day life and help to keep hope alive in the world.

Ellen Murphy, San Antonio, TX

In rain or shine, ice or snow
however far away from loved ones you go
miles and miles may part us this year
but in heart and spirit, you are always near.

Lauren Franssen, Davis, CA

God rest you telemarketers
so let the games begin
You call me at the worst of times
insert your spiel right in
You rant, you rave, you carole too
you cannot take a no
So I wish you laryngitis for next year
the coming new year.
Laryngitis for the coming new year.

Bonnie Visser, Lake Ann, MI

God chose the weakness of a baby to communicate the power of His love to a wayward world. The Spirit of Christ penetrates millions of hearts today. The weakness of baby Jesus becomes the strength of God.

T.R. Reid, Washington, MO
