Christmas could be every day,if we'd only give it a chance.
Even though December 25th is only one day,the spirit of it can last year round, without a single toy, because Christmas is a celebration of a birth of a baby boy!

Sam, age 10
St Paul, MN

I propose a toast to my great grandma Suzie, who died one year after I was born. I never had the chance to get to know her, but after hearing about all the special things she did in her life time, may God bless her.

Riley, age 10

I propose a toast to my country
on which it stands on one ground, one flag.
The white stars represent all our fifty states,
the red stripes represent our blood and gore through all our risky wars.
America will be even better than it is.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

Thank you, God, for bugs this year.
I caught them a lot in the back yard.

Thank you for the butterflies.
I caught them too, but let them go.

Thanks for worms in the garden
that we took fishing,
They fell off the hook.
Thanks, anyway.

THE STEPS OF WINTER

The Leaves are gone
Snowflakes begin to fall
People dress warmer
Fires are made
Children are sledding
Presents are wrapped
Trees are brought indoors
Colorful ornaments are hung
Gingerbread scents fill the air
Carols are sung
Greetings are shouted
These are the steps of winter
